Listen Up! Six Awesome Audio Devices

By: Amber Hunt, Jan 15th 2021

Working from home and not being able to go anywhere makes me feel like listening to podcasts whenever I can— even if it’s just to hear another voice. In fact, I even bought a cute little speaker just to block out my dog barking at squirrels in the yard. If you find yourself looking for an audio upgrade for your downtime or work time, take a look at some of our favorite audio devices!

Wireless Bluetooth Beanie Hat

It’s winter, and for a lot of us up north, that means it’s cold and wet. Hats are a great way to stay warm when outside doing things. Since we rarely leave our houses, a lot of us are using the outdoors as a way to get some fresh air without being around other people. This hat is super because it keeps you warm while allowing you to jam out to your favorite music at the same time! This also leaves your hands free so that you can do whatever you need to without having to worry about wires getting in your way. A win all around!

Google Home Mini Smart Speaker

If you are stuck at home a lot these days, this Google speaker can be a useful little tool to have around. It even talks back to you, if you find yourself missing that whole human connection thing and want to feel like you aren’t just talking to yourself all day. You can use it to play your favorite music all over the house, or even control your smart lights — who wants to take the time to switch off their lights these days? Not me!

Vizio 20” Soundbar System

Since movie theaters are somewhat out of the question right now, just make your own with this fancy-pants soundbar system. There’s nothing quite like watching a Lord of the Rings battle scene with surround sound that makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of the battle. It's equipped with DTS Virtual: X technology, meaning the soundbar digitally processes a virtual height and depth element, to allow for a more immersive experience. It's small in size, but big on performance – meaning this compact soundbar delivers excellent sound from the comfort of your home whenever you want it!

Fitbit Flyer Wireless Fitness Headphones

Having a good workout while having your headphones still connected to your phone can be such a drag. Listen– I do not appreciate having my workout interrupted because my phone fell out of my pocket and disconnected my headphones in the middle of my favorite Lady Gaga song. Not cool. These awesome headphones do not use a wire to connect your phone which means you don’t even have to have your phone on you weighing you down while you work out. And to make sure they don’t fall out, they include interchangeable ear tips, wings, and fins in different sizes to fit your ears just right. Take on tough workouts with a sweatproof and durable design built for fitness!

JBL Free X True Wireless Headphones

Now, if you’re going for a truly wireless experience, check these bad boys out! I really need to invest in some of these because I am currently using wired ones connected to my phone while walking both of my (over 50lb) dogs and I must tell you — it is not as fun as it sounds. The number of times I have had those headphones ripped out of my ears because the cord got tangled in one of their leashes or caught on something else is astounding. These guys deliver JBL Signature Sound in an intuitive, yet intelligent package. Free from wires and easy to use, they are your flexible companion for an active lifestyle!

Skullcandy Venue Active Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones

If you’re working at home and find yourself distracted constantly by kids or pets or other people that you live with, noise-canceling headphones are a godsend. The active noise canceling function on these headphones filters out unwanted noise so all you hear is your music. And since they are wireless, you don’t need to worry about being disconnected from your phone or those pesky wires getting in the way of what you’re doing. These also feature Rapid Charge so you can charge them for just 10 minutes when you aren’t using them, and then you’re good to go for 5 hours. The cushioned adjustable headband lets you dial in the perfect fit, while soft memory foam ear cushions mold to your ears so you have the perfect fit every time (unless your kids get a hold of them)!
